دوستی کی کوئی قیمت نہیں ہوتی۔یہ وہ دولت ہے جو استعمال سے بڑھتی ہے۔دُنیا کا کوئی بینک اتنا بڑا نہیں جو اِسے رکھ سکے۔ یہ روحانی غذا ہے جو عام غذا سے کئی درجے بہتر ہے کیونکہ یہ دِل کو مُطمئن کرتی ہے اور دماغ کو تقویت دیتی ہے۔ایک اچھا دوست عام رشتہ داروں سے کہیں بہتر ہے۔وہ آپ کا مُشکل میں ساتھ دیتا ہے اور اچھے حالات میں آپ کی خوشی میں شریک رہتا ہے                    ۔

Friendship is priceless.It is the wealth which increases by use.There is no bank big enough in the world which could keep it.It is a spiritual food that is far better than the common food because it satisfies the heart and strengthens the mind.A good friend is far better than the common relatives.He supports you in difficulty and participates in your joy in good circumstances.

قا ئداعظم مسلمانوں کے عظیم ترین رہنما تھے۔ا نکا نام محمد علی جناح تھا۔وہ کراچی میں پیدا ہوئے اور سندھ مدرسہ میں پڑھتے تھے۔ وہ بہت ذہین، عقلمند اور بہادر تھے۔اِنہیں مسلمانوں سے بُہت محبت تھی۔ وہ جانتے تھے کہ ہندو مسلمانوں کے دشمن ہیں۔ آزادی کے بعد وہ مسلمانوں کو غلام بنا لیں گے۔ اُنہوں نے مسلمانوں کے لیے الگ وطن کا مُطالبہ کیا۔ پاکستان وجود میں آ گیا۔ قا ئداعظم پاکستان کو 

جمہوری مُلک بنانا چاہتے تھے۔

The Quaid-e-Azam was the greatest Muslims leader.His name was Muhammad Ali Jinnah.He was born in Karachi and studied at Sind Madrassha. He was very intelligent,brave and wise.He had a great love for the Muslims.He knew that the Hindus were the enemy of the Muslims.They will make the Muslims slave after the freedom.He demanded for a separate country for the Muslims.Pakistan came into existence.He wanted to make Pakistan a democratic state

پاکستان . افغانستان میں امن کے لئے پرعزم ہے کیونکہ افغانستان میں امن پاکستان کے لئے انتہائی اہم ہے - تاریخی تناظرمیں دیکھا جائے تو پاکستان اور افغانستان پڑوسی برادر اسلامی ملک ہونے کے ناتے تاریخی، ثقافتی اور لسانی رشتوں میں جڑے ہوئے ہیں - یہ رشتے اٹوٹ ہیں، دونوں کی انحصار ایک دوسرے پر ہے اور دونوں الگ الگ رہ بھی نہیں سکتے - پاکستان کا موقف روز اول سے یہی رہا ہے کہ افغانستان مسلے کا سیاسی حل نکالا جائے - اس موقف کی حمایت چین بھی کرتا ہے -اس ضمن میں چین نے کہا ہے کہ افغان تنازع کا افغان قیادت میں ہونے والے امن مزاکرات سے ہی حل ممکن ہے - پاکستان اور چین اسٹریجک شراکت داری کے لئے افغان تنازع کو مزاکرات کے زریعے حل کرنے میں اپنا کردار ادا کریں

1) Pakistan is determined to bring peace in Afghanistan, because peaceful Afghanistan is essential for Pakistan. Historically, being neighbour Islamic countries, Pakistan and Afghanistan have historical, cultural and linguistic ties. These relations are undivided. Both countries depend on each other and cannot live independently. Pakistan’s stance is to strive for political solution of the Afghanistan issue since beginning. China also supports Pakistan’s point of view. In this regard, China is of the view that the only solution to Afghan dispute is the peace talks between Afghan leadership. Pakistan and China should play their role to solve Afghan dispute through negotiations for strategic partnership.

   مرد اور عورت ایک ہی معاشرے کا حصہ ہیں۔ بلکہ ان ہی سے ایک معاشرہ وجود میں آتا ہے۔ عورت اور مرد ایک گاڑی کے دو پہیوں کی حیثیت رکھتے ہیں۔ جب تک اِن دونوں میں توازن نہ ہو گا کوئی بھی معاشرہ قابل قدر نہیں بن سکتا اور اُن کی زندگی کی گاڑی منزل تک نہیں پہنچ 

2. It can be translated this way.....
   
   Man and woman are part of the same society. In fact, a society comes into existence by them. Man and woman are like the two wheels of a cart. Unless there is a balance between them, no society can be respectable and their life can’t reach its destination.

   You are born with nothing but you will die with a name, and this name just not be a word, it should be a HISTORY...

3.  Translation Exercise: Urdu to English

   بڑے آدمی میں وہی عام، سادہ اور چھوٹی چھوٹی خوبیاں ہوتی ہیں جن پر ہر شخص کا اختیار ہوتا ہے۔ فرق صرف اتنا ہے کہ عام آدمی میں یہ خوبیاں ہوتی ہیں اور خاص آدمیوں میں ان خوبیوں کی روح اور اُن کا جوہر ہوتا ہے۔ قائدِ اعظم کی جانی پہچانی ذات میں کوئی بات ایسی نہ تھی جو سمجھ میں نہ آئے۔ شخصیت کے اعتبار سے وہ ایک سیدھے سادے آدمی تھے۔ اُن کی خاص خاص خوبیوں کی فہرست کچھ یوں بنے گی
   

   عزم، عمل، دیانت، خطابت اور خود داری۔

   A great man possesses the same 

   common, simple and little qualities on which every person has control of. The difference is that a common man just has these qualities while exceptional ones possess the soul and spirit of the qualities. In the well-known personality of Quaid-e-Azam, there was nothing that couldn’t be understood. In his person, he was quite a simple man. The list of his distinctive qualities would be as follows: determination, work, honesty, speech and integrity.

5. نسل انسانی سائنس اور اس کی ایجادات کی نہایت احسان مند ہے۔ گذشتہ دو سو سالوں کے دوران سائنس نے زندگی کے تقریباً تمام شعبوں میں عظیم انقلاب پیدا کر دیا ہے۔ وقت اور خلا کی تسخیر ایک عظیم کارنامہ ہے۔ دنیا سکڑ کر چھوٹی سی رہ گئی ہے۔ وہ فاصلے جو ماضی میں مہینوں میں طے ہوتے تھے اب محض گھنٹوں میں طے کیے جا سکتے ہیں۔ ہم چاند کا سفر کر سکتے ہیں اور وہاں کی خاک کے نمونے لے کر زمین پر واپس آ سکتے ہیں۔ تیز رفتار ذرائع آمدورفت نے سفر کو ایک خوشگوار تجربہ بنا دیا ہے۔ یورپ یا امریکہ کا سفر ایک معمولی سی بات بن گیا ہے۔ اب یہ ممکن ہو گیا ہے کہ آپ دوپہر کا کھانا لاہور میں کھائیں، رات کا لندن میں اور اگلی صبح ناشتہ نیویارک میں کریں۔ اگر ابن بطوطہ کو دوبارہ زندگی مل سکتی تو وہ موجودہ دنیا کو  ماضی کے مقابلہ میں رہنے کے لیے زیادہ خوشگوار جگہ پاتا 

6. The human race is highly indebted toscience and its inventions. During the past two hundred years, the science has brought a great revolution in nearly all aspects of life. Conquest of time and space is a remarkable achievement. The world has shrunk to a small place. The distances that were covered in months in the past, now, can be covered just in hours. We can travel to moon and take back to the earth the samples of its dust. High-speed modes of transportation have made traveling a pleasant experience. Travelling towards Europe of America has become a trivial thing. Now it is possible that you eat lunch in Lahore, dinner in London, and tomorrow’s breakfast in New York. If Ibn-e-Battuta could have had a second life, he would have found the present world easier to live in and more pleasant to travel on than in the past.

یہ سچ ہے کہ مثالی طاب علم ہونا مُشکل ہے
It ts true that to be an exemplary student is difficult
۔لیکن یہ نا ممکن نہیں
but it is not impossible.
اگر زندگی کے کردار اور انسان کی نفسیات کا علم حاصل کر لیا جائے تو کُچھ مُشکل نہیں ہوتا۔
If one gets the knowledge of the role of life and the psyche of the man,nothing remains difficult.
مثالی طالب علم وہ ہے جو اپنے مقاصد کو کبھی نظر انداز نہیں کرتا
A student who never neglects the aims of his life ,is an exemplary student.
وہ اپنی پڑھائی کی طرف پوری توجہ دیتا ہے۔
He pays full attention to his studies.
وہ نظم وضبط قائم رکھتا ہے
He observes discipline.
